Give us your suggestions on what you would like to see this board used for.
If you have any topic or category ideas or requests feel free to post them here as well.
We can't guarantee that we will honor them all, but we will take everything into consideration to make this board as useful to the team and its fans as possible.

I know this forum is supposed to be for the team and its fans, but I noticed that it's actually one of the first things that comes up on a Google search and (maybe it's just me) but I feel like most of our discussions should be private..

Steven,
I will talk to the coaches about locking down the board and leaving one place for public fan discussion. There are various methods i can use to do this.

We can easily switch most of the discussion behind the password and leave up on fan and FAQ board for fans too.

Another technique is that I can create a player group and place the user accounts in it. This would allow the team to use the board securely without needing additional logins. I think Ralph is the only player who hasn't created a formal account.

Do you want me to give that technique a shot? At the very least I can start creating the permission group and adding the accounts to it.

I think that would be a good idea - some members of our team (and I firmly include myself here) have issues censoring themselves at the best of times... when posting on our forum it almost never even occurs to me to make it suitable for outsiders.

oook. so it seems proboards doesn't have user-group level permissions. So we need to stick with password protection.
All I can really recommend is to be careful what you say unless its in the team board.
We need to keep the scrimmage / practice board public. As well as the history board.
So don't use the general board unless you want to talk to the fans.
I can also rename the general board to "fan forum" or make a new section called "Fan forum"
